SBMU Ranks the 2nd among all Medical Universities in Iran in ISC (Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC)
Dr. Jafar Mehrad Parast, the Director of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) announced the ranking results of the universities and research institutes in Iran.
Based on the announcement, SBMU has ranked the 2nd among all universities of medical sciences in Iran. The ISC announcement shows that Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, and MashhadUniversity of Medical Sciences, have ranked the first fifth high ranking universities in Iran.
The ISC has graded and ranked the universities in Iran since 2010 based on the standards and indexes approved by ISESCO and the Ministers of Higher Education & Technology in Islamic nations.
The present elevated ranking level indicates the increasing research activities in various fields including the number of articles published, the number of citations, inventions, and discoveries, and the growth in obtaining the awards, as well as other indexes in the ISC.
The ranking was made for the 34 universities of medical sciences which had participated in the 2012 ranking.
